Study session on asymptotic structure

Scope of the session: The session aims to complement the series of lectures by H.Friedrich, the lectures of H.Bray and the session of S.Klainerman. The organiser will speak himself and there will also be contributions from P.Chrusciel and H.Friedrich. It is intended to include some historical background and physical arguments for various features of the standard picture of null infinity and to discuss the extent to which "asymptotic simplicity" correctly geometrizes the notion of an isolated system. The standard picture will be critically examined at various points, and the session will end with the presentation of outstanding problems.
