Study session on matter fields
Scope of the session: The session will be devoted to the exposition of
the recent progress made in our understanding of the solutions of
Einstein's equation in presence of matter. This will complement
the lecture series which will focus mainly on solutions of the
vacuum Einstein equations. There will be three half-hour talks
followed by a 5-10 minute discussion period. H.Lindblad (University
of California at San Diego) will present his work on the
well-posedness of a free-boundary problem for a fluid ball. M.Dafermos
(Massachusetts Institute of Technology) will talk about the
stability of Cauchy horizons in spherically symmetric
Einstein-Maxwell-scalar field equations.
H.Andreasson will talk about global existence of solutions to the
Einstein-Vlasov system with T˛ symmetry.
