Location and infrastructure

The ``Institut d'Études Scientifiques de Cargèse'' is owned by the Centre National de Recherche Scientifique (CNRS), and run jointly by the CNRS, the Université de Corse, and the Nice-Sophia Antipolis University. It is located by the sea, about a twenty minutes walk from the village of Cargèse (Corsica). Facilities at the Institute include an amphitheater for 100 people where the sessions are held. There is a well equipped library. Several overhead projectors and a video projector are available. The institute has good computing facilities, including a number of PC's, Mac's, and Sun workstations, with a fast connection to the internet.

At the Institute, seven rooms are available for housing participants. In addition, camping is permitted on the Institute's grounds. In the village, there are apartments ranging in size from studios to four rooms which the Institute lets for the season. There is also an adequate number of hotel rooms in Cargèse.

Lunches are served in the school except on Sundays.
